Bear Lake is home to some of the best snowmobile riding in northern Utah. This area is know mostly for the great backcountry riding it offers, but it also features almost 22 percent of the state's total trail mileage with over 350 miles of groomed trails. And these aren't just token trails, either; they are well-groomed byways leading deep into prime snowmobiling territory.The Bear Lake system is located in a fortunate weather pattern for sledders. It is usually one of the first places in the state to have rideable snow and the season stretches into April. Ride around the lake on some of the well-groomed trails, or strike out on your own across the many ungroomed trails which crisscross the area. This winter, when the snow in your home town is getting beat down and you're longing for some light and dry powder, give Bridgerland a shot. You'd be crazy not to.
