Bear Lake - Boating

Boating, water-skiing, waverunning, sailing and windsurfing are all popular at Bear Lake. For information on companies that rent boats and personal watercraft select Watercraft Rentals.

Bear Lake Marina, 2 miles north of Garden City on the western shore, is part of Bear Lake State Park (435-946-3343). It has a boat ramp, slips to accommodate 300 boats, boat rentals, a campground, and a marina dump station. Along the southern edge of the lake is the Rendezvous Beach portion of Bear Lake State Park. It features a wide sandy beach, picnic areas, a modern campground and boat rental concessionaires.

The eastern side of the lake is much less developed, with a series of primitive campgrounds/picnic areas and boat ramps at several points.

At Garden City Park along the shore adjacent to Garden City is a nice swimming beach.

Select Boating Guides & Outfitters for companies that lead boating excursions and/or rent watercraft.
