Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway

This paved route winds east through pretty Beaver Canyon along the cascading Beaver River high up into the Tushar Mountains. Along the way are some picnic areas and campgrounds. The paved portion ends after 19 miles near the Elk Meadows Ski and Summer Resort. ..Past Elk Meadows, the highway turns to dirt and continues for 21 miles through the mountains to the town of Junction on Hwy. 89 east of the range. This portion is also quite attractive but terrifically steep and winding at points. It's NOT recommended for RV's or trailers.
