Jughandle Loop starts at the Jughandle Arch parking area on Hwy. 279 along the Colorado River. The route meanders into Canyonlands National Park on Potash Road and then climbs Shafer Trail 4wd Road and a terrific series of switchbacks to the park's main scenic drive. The finish is a great 4 mile long descent through Long Canyon.
This double track route follows the Kimberly/Big John Flat Scenic Backway from Hwy. 153 to I-70 at Fremont Indian State Park. A good portion is above the timberline with good views out over the range.
King's Peak in Browns Park is gloriously remote and cycling up to the peak is an experience in solitude. The landscape spreading below is breathtaking.
This is a long shoreline ride best attempted by advanced riders.
