to get here!
1- From Salt Lake City
(Routes Highlighted in Green):
a- You have a couple of good options for a scenic loop drive. One is to come
south on I-15 to Spanish Fork and turn southeast to Price and then on to Green
River. Go southwest on I-70 to SR 24 and then go south and west to Capitol Reef
National Park. Turn south on SR 12 (scenic highway) and come south to Tropic.
Every turn on highway 12 is a new view and different types of terrrain.
b- Another option is to go south on I-15 to Scipio. From here continue south
on SR 50. Connect to SR 24 then follow 24 East to Torrey. You can go a few miles
into Capitol Reef or turn south on 12 and come to Bryce Canyon.
2- From Colorado/Arches/Canyonlands
National Park (Routes Highlighted in Yellow):
Travel West on Interstate 70 to highway 24. Travel south on highway 24 to scenic
highway 12 near Capitol Reef National Park. Turn south on SR 12 (scenic highway)
and come south to Tropic.
3- From Los Angeles/Las Vegas/St.George (Routes Highlighted in
Red): Travel north on 1-15 and turn
East on highway 9 just past St George. Travel through Zion National Park to
highwy 89. Then go north to SR12. Turn right and come to Tropic.
Either way you travel you will find a myriad of things to see and do once you
are here. Make us your base and spend a few days in this region of the highest
concentration of natural scenic wonders in the world.
