Welcome to Utah Heritage Highway 89 and the Mormon Pioneer Heritage Area. We are the artisans and business owners of the Utah Heritage Highway 89 Alliance. You are about to begin a a heritage adventure that will take you through one or more of five uniquely Western heritage areas.

Cottonwood Canyon Road travels for 46 miles through rugged and remote areas of the Colorado plateau from Cannonville to near Lake Powell. The route passes the interesting eroded rock forms of Kodachrome Basin State Park and runs through wonderfully colored Cottonwood Canyon.

This graded gravel road runs along the East Fork of the Sevier River for 25 miles through a pretty, broad valley west of Bryce. It passes through stands of ponderosa pine and includes some nice views. At mile 7 is pretty Tropic Reservoir.

Highway 12 is one of the most spectacular scenic byways in the country. It begins at Hwy 24 near Torrey and runs south and west for 122 miles to Hwy. 89 south of Panguitch.
