Yes, you can get a real Chicago-style deep-dish pizza right here in Salt Lake City. It's take-out or delivery only, so set a nice table at home or head for your favorite picnic spot. The crust makes a Chicago pizza different -- it's thick and is more reminiscent of pie pastry than regular pizza dough. Toppings are pretty much the same as everywhere else, though. Connie's pies are smaller in diameter than other pizza joints, but they make up for it in the sheer weight and depth of each slice. And, yes, thin crust pizzas are also available. The "Chicago Jazzed" is a fine deep-dish choice -- with sausage, onion, mushrooms and green pepper. Non-pizza fans might pick an Italian Beef sandwich. Start off with the spinach dip & pizza chips, throw in a salad and you're all set.
