 Climate

The season at Flaming Gorge generally runs from May to mid-September. Not surprisingly, June through August is the busiest time, with weekends experiencing heavy crowds. Summer travelers who have a choice would do best to arrive from Sunday to Wednesday. Visitation thins in September as temperatures begin to drop. Snow begins to accumulate in November and stays on the ground into April.
