Albion Basin Beginner 6 mile roundtrip 2 - 3 hrs.
Just past Alta Ski Area at the end of Little Cottonwood Canyon the road turns to dirt and climbs gently up to Albion Campground. The route has nice views down canyon and in late summer great wildflowers fill the basin.

Big Cottonwood Creek Trail Advanced 12 mile roundtrip 2 - 4 hrs.

Big Water (Dog Lake) Trail Beginner 6.5 mile roundtrip 1 - 2-1/2 hrs.
Very popular Big Water Trail to Dog Lake is a great introduction to mountain biking in the Wasatch. It is a relatively easy single track path through nice forest to a pretty alpine lake.

Bonneville Shoreline Trail - Bountiful Section Beginner

Bonneville Shoreline Trail - Salt Lake City Section Advanced 1 - 2 hrs.
The Bonneville Shoreline Trail is a series of trails along the slope of the Wasatch Mountains where the old shoreline of Lake Bonneville met the hills.

Brighton Mountain Biking Trail Intermediate 4.5 mile roundtrip 1 - 2 hrs.

Butterfield Canyon Advanced 13.5 mile roundtrip 1 - 2 hrs.

City Creek Canyon Beginner 12 mile roundtrip 2-1/2 hrs.
Located just a mile from the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, this paved route brings you quickly away from the urban congestion through a very pretty canyon along the pleasant creek.

Farmington Flats Beginner 5.5 mile loop 1-2 hrs.
This is a pleasant ride within an alpine basin through grassy meadows and pretty aspen groves. The route follows easy dirt roads and has only one ascent of any note. It affords nice views over the Great Salt Lake.

The Little Cottonwood Creek Trail is a lower-altitude alpine ride that starts right at the mouth of Salt Lake City's Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Mill Creek Pipeline Beginner

In the lower half of Salt Lake City's Mill Creek Canyon is the Mill Creek Pipeline trail. It's a great lower-altitude alpine bike ride.

The Upper Mill Creek Canyon trail starts on the Big Water Trail then climbs the Great Western Trail to the Wasatch Crest.

Mueller Park Intermediate 13 mile roundtrip 3 hours
This single track route climbs through nice forested areas to Rudy's Flat a small open meadow. It has some nice views of the Great Salt Lake and Wasatch Front.

Sessions Mountains Road Intermediate 9 mile roundtrip 1 - 2 hrs.

Stansbury Island Mountain Bike Trail Advanced 9.2 mile loop 3 - 4 hrs.

The Wasatch Crest Trail is a great single track route along the spine of the Wasatch Mountains. It has great views in all directions of the Wasatch Range.
