Fish Lake - Fishing
Fish Lake has 6 square miles of surface area, averages about 80 feet deep and is a chilly 50 degrees. It has a good reputation for large lake trout (mackinaw). Fisherman also go for rainbow trout, brown trout, and a hybrid lake and eastern brook trout known as a splake. The browns reproduce naturally, the other fish are stocked. Winter brings excellent ice fishing for splake -- a hybrid eastern brook trout and lake trout. There are marinas at Fish Lake Lodge and Lakeside Resort along shore. They have tackle and supplies and rent boats. A list of companies that lead guided fishing trips and/or rent equipment are below. Click on any name for more information.
