Description

Whether you are in town for business or just for pleasure, there is no reason not to get to know Utah a little better. With the help of our experienced guides and high end gear by Sage rods and Ross reels we can help arrange a personal meeting with many of the 15 to 22 inch "Utah Natives". All you have to do is show up. We provide all of the gear including waders, boots, rods, reels and fly's (most are hand tied by your guide and are sure to entice even the pickiest brown.)

Fly Fishing Adventures has been offering all inclusive guide trips for local businesses and executives since 2002. Our clients often bring their own clients out and we have seen many deals closed on the local waters.

We live by our name. Fly Fishing Adventures. We don't run a fly shop and we do not ever intend to. We live to be outdoors and or goal is to provide you with the best possible experience for the best price. Our guides have over 25 years of combined guiding experience and are looking forward to providing you with the same exceptional service that our business accounts have come to expect.

Locations

There are many spots within easy reach of the Salt Lake City area. One of our favorites is the famed Provo River. In under an hour from downtown Salt Lake City you could be fishing the middle or lower sections of this beautiful fishery. With the flow and temperature controlled year round by the Jordanelle and Deer Creek damns, this river sustains 3,000 to 6,500 fish per mile. It has an abundant lifecycle of Mayfly's, Stonefly's, Caddis and Midges that make it possible to fish year round. Yes. Believe it or not you will find happy fishermen on the river in January that are not lost looking for a ski resort.

If you are looking for a more quite day away from civilization and other fishermen there are many hidden streams and tributaries that can be fished within easy reach of downtown. We would be happy to let you in on a few of these local gems if that is what you prefer.

Our Guides

Matt Erickson - Matt was raised in Provo, Utah and has always had a passion for the outdoors. He has been fishing the Provo River since he was a kid and guiding for the past 10 years. He lives in the Provo Canyon at Sundance and spends most of his free time skiing or fishing. Since the river is almost his back yard, he always knows what is happening on the water. He is one of the more patient guides I have worked with and loves to share his knowledge of the local water.

Sean Manning - Sean has been fishing the local Utah Rivers for over 15 years. Although he has had great success on New England, Nevada, California and Alaskan waters, he still thinks the local rivers and lakes can't be beat. He teaches Fly Fishing classes through Sandy City Parks and Recreation and when guiding loves to use the environment as a classroom. We can't tell if he gets more excited about catching the fish himself, or putting someone on to their first Utah trout. Sean is always fun to be with regardless of the fishing conditions.
