Gooseberry Canyon Trail

This is the shortest trail down to the White Rim Road, but it is very steep. Once down, you can find exposed camping areas with great views of the Colorado River canyon, or climb back out.

Location: Off the main scenic drive in the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park
Difficulty: Difficult
Length: 6 mile roundtrip
Elevation: 1550 feet
Time to Allow: 4 hours
Camping Info: Dispersed camping allowed
Season: Year round, but best Apr.-May and Sep.-Oct.
