Getting There

The Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument is a sprawling area encompassing 1.7 million acres in southern Utah. Its western edge is about 275 miles south of Salt Lake City and 200 miles northeast of Las Vegas. It lies generally between Lake Powell, Capitol Reef National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park.

Airport Information

	Service is available to Cedar City and St. George along I-15. They are about 50-70 miles west of the Grand Staircase. Air Nevada Airlines (800-634-6377) offers flights from Las Vegas to Bryce Canyon airport as long as at least four people are flying. Bryce Air Service (435-834-5208) at the Bryce airstrip rents cars and vans.
