The Great Salt Lake State Park has swimming beaches, changing rooms with showers, picnic tables, a primitive campground and a boat ramp and marina. The exceptionally high salt content of the lake makes the water incredibly buoyant. A concessionaire operates a few carnival rides and a snack shop. Unfortunately, the setting it is all a bit worn down and not particularly inviting. Another place to enjoy the lake is from Antelope Island State Park in Davis County.
