The Canyon Rims Recreation Area is a rugged desert plateau south of Moab. At the edge of the recreation area are the impressive Needles and Anticline overlooks. It contains two attractive BLM campgrounds (Hatch Point and Windwhistle) which tend to be less crowded than campgrounds closer to Moab. Hatch Point is set attractively among pinyon pine and juniper with great panoranic views of the expansive canyon country.
