The Ride of Your Life
The Ride of Your Life

Hiking trails in the Heber City area are listed below. Click on any trail name for more information.

Center Canyon Easy
Intermediate
4 miles round-trip
This four-mile out-and-back route follows Center Canyon through aspen forest and meadows of columbine. Wildlife is common, including the occasional rattlesnake, so keep a watchful eye.

Clegg Canyon Intermediate
Roughly 3 miles one-way
The Clegg Canyon trail follows a narrow canyon through oak, conifer and aspen stands.

Co-op Creek Intermediate
Roughly 4.5 miles one-way
This out-and-back trail follows Co-op Creek through a beautiful conifer forest where wildlife is common; watch for elk, moose, and deer.

Currant Creek Nature Trail Intermediate
Slightly over 1 mile round-trip
This delightful little loop trail is perfect for the entire family. From the highest point, scenic views of Currant Creek Reservoir below and red sandstone cliffs to the east are thoroughly rewarding.

Foreman Hollow Intermediate
Roughly 4 miles round-trip
This trail crosses the plateau through a maze of quaking aspen and offers scenic views across Daniels Canyon and as far as Strawberry Reservoir.

Narrows Trail 12 miles
This 12 mile trail follows the shoreline of Strawberry Reservoir through the "Narrows," a narrow canyon of the reservoir accessible only by boat or this non-motorized trail.

Nobletts Creek Log Hollow Intermediate
5.6 miles (plus 1.1 miles by car) 4 hours
This is a very pleasant hike through two small canyons on the edge of the Uinta National Forest. Unfortunately both of the canyons are dry, although for a short distance the walk is along the pretty Nobletts Creek.

Row Bench Intermediate
5.2 miles (plus 14.8 miles by car) 3 1/4 hours
The Row Bench Trail is a little used hiking trail through dense quaking aspen with some Douglas fir. It is very pretty-especially in September when the aspen are changing color.

Sleepy Hollow Trail Intermediate
3 to 4 miles one-way
Sleepy Hollow Trail climbs through aspen forest approximately three miles one way to overlook Strawberry Reservoir.

Strawberry Shoreline Trail 10 miles
This ten mile trail traverses the west shore of Strawberry Reservoir from Mud Creek Bay to East Portal Bay. Opportunities to view wildlife along this walk are some of the best in the area.

Thornton Hollow Intermediate
3 miles one-way
This scenic trail crosses grassy meadows and aspen groves, and offers beautiful views from the ridge.

Willow Creek 3 miles one-way
This three-mile one-way trail is a pleasant walk that can be great for the whole family. Bring binoculars to look for deer, hawks, and other wildlife and don't miss the beaver dams along Willow Creek.
