Located in the charming Sugarhouse neighborhood, Michelangelo shares its space with Experienced Books and other quaint specialty shops. The menu is ambitious and each item justifies the expense. All offerings are made from scratch. Specialty items such as porcini mushrooms and Parmesan cheese are imported from Italy. The wine list features some rather unusual Italian choices. The homemade ravioli with veal in walnut and brandy sauce. The chicken breast marsala is a good buy ($12), as is the veal scaloppine with fresh porcini mushrooms ($18) and the spaghetti with fresh clams and white wine sauce ($12).
