Nine Mile Canyon

Nine Mile Canyon Some of the most striking rock art in the state is to be found in Nine Mile Canyon northeast of Price. The canyon is remote, inhospitable, unspoiled and harshly beautiful. Called "the world's longest art gallery" it is home to numerous rock art panels, including the famous "Cottonwood Panel". Most were created by the Fremont Indians who occupied this area some 1,000 years ago. (Despite its name, the canyon is actually 40 miles long.)
