Observation Point Trail

Observation Point Trail branches off of Hidden Canyon Trail at the .6 mile mark. The trail is a narrow paved catwalk cut into the steep Echo Canyon wall for a portion. All along are great views, but the final panoramic view out over Zion Canyon is fantastic.


 The Basics

Location: Off the main scenic drive in the Zion Canyon area of Zion National Park
Observation Point Trail
Difficulty: Difficult
Length: 7.4 mi. roundtrip
Time to Allow: 4 hours
Season: March to November


 Directions to Trailhead

During the main season, you'll need to take the shuttle. Off season: From the visitor's center at the south entrance to Zion National Park, proceed north along the main scenic drive until you reach the Weeping Rock pull off.
