Old Ephraim's Grave

This route follows dirt roads through open meadows and scattered forests in the lower elevations of the Bear Mountains. It has a couple of difficult climbs. (Old Ephraim was reportedly the largest grizzly bear ever shot. Thought to be the last grizzly in Utah, a large stone marks the site of his demise in 1928.) The trailhead is at Lodge Campground.
