Park City Mountain Resort

Park City has become a very popular mountain biking destination. Each of the three ski areas -- Park City, Deer Valley and The Canyons -- offer miles of good mountain biking routes down their wooded slopes. There are also a variety of rides in the mountains near town.

Bench Creek Advanced 15.5 mile loop 1 - 2 hrs.

Daly Canyon Intermediate 8.5 mile loop 3 hours
This route starts with the Lower Daly route, but then breaks away at about Mile 3 at Petticoat Junction Trail. The trail continues to Deer Valley and Telemark Park before returning via paved roads to your starting point.

Duchesne Ridge Intermediate 10 miles oneway 2 - 3 hrs.
This trail begins at the Wolf Creek Campground and follows the ridge west through forested hills, passing many small lakes and streams.

Lost Prospector Intermediate 8 mile roundtrip 2 hours
Good single track, combined with various technical descents make this fun for everyone.

Lower Daly Intermediate 5 mile loop 1-1/2 hrs.
This route follows mostly dirt roads with some single track through nice forested areas and past some old mining areas.

Mid Mountain Trail Intermediate 20 mile roundtrip 3 - 4 hours
This is a new trail for 2002 links up the Park City Mountain Resort and The Canyons Resort. The views are stellar and photo opportunities abound.

Rail Trail Intermediate 30 miles oneway
The Rail Trail is 30 miles long, extending from the Prospector area of Park City down to Echo Junction along a former railroad route.

Round Valley Trail Intermediate 15 mile roundtrip 2 - 3 hours
This new trail is perfect for intermediate rides that are looking to experience a wide range of riding conditions.

Shingle Creek Trail Advanced 5 mile roundtrip
The Shingle Creek Trail is a narrow singletrack in the western Uintah Mountains, about 10 miles east of Kamas.

Soapstone Basin Intermediate 15 mile loop 3-1/2 hrs.
This route travels along forest service dirt roads through pretty alpine meadows and past some excellent views of the surrounding rounded peaks of the Uinta Mountains.

Spiro Trail to Thaynes Canyon Intermediate 9 mile roundtrip 2 - 3 hours
This is a tough climb with great views and a killer downhill.

Sweeney Switchbacks Intermediate 1.5 mile loop 1-1/2 hrs.
Located on the edge of Park City, this short loop provides some nice views and technical challenges as it winds through heavy aspen groves.

Telemark Park/McKinley Gap Intermediate 1.1 mile loop 45 mins.
Telemark Park on the outskirts of Park City is a double cloverleaf that combines two trails. Snow Park Loop is a combined single/double track route with some pleasant views. McKinley Gap Loop has gentle climbs and gradual descents through switchbacked turns above Deer Valley Condos.

Telemark Park/Snow Park Beginner 1.7 mile loop 1 hour
Telemark Park on the outskirts of Park City is a double cloverleaf that combines two trails. Snow Park Loop is a combined single/double track route with some pleasant views. McKinley Gap Loop has gentle climbs and gradual descents through switchbacked turns above Deer Valley Condos.

Tour Des Suds Intermediate 7 mile roundtrip 2 - 3 hrs.
The route passes through wonderful aspen and pine forests and features some excellent single track. The trail can be difficult to follow, so you'll want a good map or instructions before setting out.
