Pine Valley Mountains - Hiking

There are over 60 miles of hiking trails through the Pine Valley Mountains. Trails are well marked and well maintained as they wind through the pretty alpine scenery. You can also rock scramble to the top of Signal Peak -- the highest point in the range. Both overnight and day trips are available. You can get basic information about trails at the entrance to the Pine Valley Recreation Area.

If you plan to do a lot of hiking, you'll want to pick up a topo map from the Pine Valley Ranger office in St. George. (289 E. Riverside Drive; 435-652-3100)
