Description

Powell Point Trail takes you through alpine scenery to the tip of the highest plateau in North America (10,188 feet). The Powell Point Trail follows a dirt road as it climbs steeply from Pine Lake Campground to the crest of the plateau and then along the crest towards the point. Near the point the road ends and a great but short singletrack trail takes you to Powell Point and its awesome views over southwest Utah. The first six miles of the route involve a steep 1,900 foot climb to the crest of the plateau. You can omit this portion by driving to the point where the road turns south towards Powell Point making this a moderate 8-mile trip. Springdale Cycles offers a Mountain Bike Tour and a Road Bike Tour in this area. Please see listing below for more information.
