Strawberry Shoreline Trail

This ten mile trail traverses the west shore of Strawberry Reservoir from Mud Creek Bay to East Portal Bay.

The terrain is primarily rolling hillsides and shoreline flats, with access to the reservoir along the length of the trail. Distances can be varied and the trail can be reached from several locations, including Strawberry Bay Campground for those spending a few days at the Reservoir.

Opportunities to view wildlife along this walk are some of the best in the area. Look for Strawberry's abundant variety of waterfowl and shorebirds on the reservoir, and keep an eye out for the occasional badger or squirrel along the hillsides near the trail. Stop in at the Strawberry Visitor Center just off US Hwy 40 to learn about wildlife along this trail and elsewhere in Strawberry Valley.

To access this trail, take US Hwy 40 southeast of Heber City 23 miles to the Strawberry Bay turnoff. Follow this road to one of three access points: Mud Creek Bay, 3 miles from US Hwy 40; Strawberry Bay, 6 miles from US Hwy 40; or Chaplain Point, 7 miles from US Hwy 40.
