This Is The Place Heritage Park
This Is The Place Heritage Park marks the spot on the east side of town overlooking the Utah Valley where legend has it Brigham Young declared "This is the right place. Drive on." A monument erected in 1947 on the 100 year anniversary stands as the focal point of this park. Adjacent to the park is Old Deseret Village, a collection of more than 40 historic buidlings, brought to life by knowledgeable cast members in pioneer dress from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day, Monday through Saturday from 10 to 5.
