 Area Towns

The perfect launching point for an exploration of Bryce Canyon Country is from a local hotel or campground, many of which can be found near our beautiful and peaceful towns.

Antimony

Once a booming mining town, Antimony is now a quiet ranching and vacation community. It is located on U-22, five miles south of Otter Creek Reservoir and 41 miles north of Bryce Canyon. Learn more about Antimony, Utah.

Boulder

A quiet farming community located at the junction of the Burr Trail and Scenic Highway 12. To the west and north of Boulder is the Dixie National Forest and Boulder Mountain with many lakes and spectacular back-country activities. To the East of Boulder is the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Capitol Reef National Park and the Henry Mountains where you will find the only huntable herd, free roaming, herd of buffalo in the United States. Within Boulder is the Anasazi State Museum. Lodging, dining, guides and outfitters and more are all available in Boulder. Bryce Canyon Area

Hatch

The quaint town of Hatch is located 15 miles south of Panguitch on US 89. Stop at the visitor center south of town for local information. Learn more about Hatch, Utah.

Ticaboo

Ticaboo is a thriving community near the shores of Lake Powell (Glen Canyon National Recreation Area) that was originally established for the purpose of mining and milling uranium. Ticaboo is located on highway 276 south of Hanksville, Utah. From Ticaboo you can travel south to Bullfrog Marina on Lake Powell and cross the lake via the ferry to Halls Crossing. Access across the Lake (Colorado River) is also available north of Ticaboo on Highway 95 via the Bridge at Hite Crossing. Learn more about Ticaboo, Utah

Tropic

The ranching communities of Tropic, Cannonville, and Henrieville make up Bryce Valley, which lies just outside the east entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park. The area borders the new Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and the Dixie National Forest. Kodachrome Basin State Park lies nine miles south of Cannonville.
