Zion National Park Travel Photos

Zion National Park is awe inspiring. Massive cliff walls tower majestically a half mile above the green canyon floor. A river tumbles easily beneath cottonwoods and wooded trails wind about the canyon and up its walls to small pools and springs. Whether you hike its miles of trails or simply drive its easy drives you cannot help but be moved by Zion's beauty.

The park is in two parts, the most visited being Zion proper, the second being Kolob Canyon. The only connection between the two parts is the Narrows, a long trail through a steep canyon. Kolob Canyon’s most distinct feature is the Kolob arch, second largest freestanding arch in the world. Within Zion proper are such landmarks as the Court of the Patriarchs and Angel’s Landing, proud stands of rock immortalized by generations of awe-inspired visitors in photographs and film.

Zion is located in the southwest corner of Utah east of I-15. It is roughly 300 miles south of Salt Lake City and 160 miles northeast of Las Vegas. Its ease of access and remarkable beauty have made Zion Utah's most popular National Park with nearly 3 million annual visitors.
