Below is a list of lakes and reservoirs in the Wasatch Plateau / Sanpete Valley area that are good for boating. Click on any name for more information.



Burraston Ponds Lake Size:  Small   

Electric Lake Lake Size:  4 sq. miles   
Electric Lake is excellent for fishing and its still water lays an excellent carpet for water skiers to enjoy. It is set high in mountains of the Wasatch Plateau.

Ferron Reservoir Lake Size:  Small   
Ferron Reservoir is a small reservoir attractively situated among several 10,000 ft. peaks high up on the Wasatch Plateau.

Gooseberry Reservoir Lake Size:  Small   

Gunnison Reservoir Lake Size:  4 sq. miles   
A medium-sized reservoir well protected from the wind. Quiet and underutilized with good beaches on the shoreline.

Huntington Reservoir Lake Size:  240 acres   
Huntington Reservoir offers good boating, fishing and swimming opportuities in a pretty setting. The Huntington Sate Park along the shore is well maintained with a nice beach and grassy lawns.

Joe's Valley Reservoir Lake Size:  2 sq. miles   
Joes Valley Reservoir is an attractive 1,200 acre lake set attractively 7,000 feet up in the forests of the plateau. Boating, water skiing and fishing are popular at the lake.

Millsite Reservoir Lake Size:  435 acres   
Millsite Reservoir is a pretty 440 acre reservoir in scenic Ferron Canyon. Millsite State Park along the shore offers a sandy beach, fishing, boating, camping, a 9-hole golf course and access to OHV and mountain biking trails.

Ninemile Reservoir Lake Size:  Small   

Palisade Lake Lake Size:  70 acre   
Tiny 70 acre Palisade Reservoir draws swimmers to its sandy beach and anglers year-round. Carefully landscaped Palisade State Park along the shore is very well maintained.

Scofield Reservoir Lake Size:  4.5 sq. miles   
Scofield Reservoir offers good opportunities for boating, water skiing and fishing in summer, and in winter serves as a base for snowmobilers. The lake is stocked with rainbow and cutthroat trout. Along the shore is modern Scofield State Park.
