West Rim Trail

West Rim Trail This is one of the more popular backpacking trips in the park. It is best done with a car shuttle and started from Lava Point, from which it is all downhill. The trail passes through nice pine forests with views of all manner of cliffs and canyons. It ends with a descent into marvelous Zion Canyon. At mile 9.8 is a 1/2 mile side trail up to Angel's Landing which is highly recommended (unless you fear severe exposed drops).
