V.I.O. POV 1.5 Camera description Using the V.I.O. POV 1.5 Camera is a hell of a lot easier and safer than duct taping your $5G camcorder to your head. So just suppress your DIY nature and step it up with this high quality point-of-view camera. The dustproof, water-resistant, and shock-resistant POV 1.5 delivers 720 x 480 resolution at 30fps, so you get crisp and clear shots when youre bombing backcountry lines or sending technical single track. V.I.O. outfitted this POV camera with improved mounting solutions, a 4GB SDHC card, a wireless remote, and software for managing your vids. | Bottom Line: Put the duct tape away and get with the program. |
Where's the HD?...More velcro?
Jan Higa:
This is an ok little camera but where's the HD? I mean, cmon! In addition to that the software is not compatible with my computer. I was recommended a download on line and that one sucks as well. I do like all the options for attachment that come with it. The remote leaves a lot to be desired, they can't even supply enough velcro to fit over a ski jacket. The processor is huge and is attached to the lens by an incredibly stiff cable. Don't buy those packages from B&H Camera that include the cheap Mountainsmith fanny pack, it barely holds the processor. Seek other options. I have the attachment that goes with goggles. It took a bit of tweaking but it's working ok. I would probably wait for a while to see if VIO is going to turn out an HD camera if you want to spend this much money.
Be the envy of your friends

Took it to Las Lenas Argentina skiing in August. Performed great but change or charge batteries daily. Remote start/stop/tag difficult to work with gloves on. The camera body is large and doesn't fit easily into my ski jacket's interior media pocket (I didn't like putting it in my back pack with the camera lens attached to my goggle strap; taking the pack off for the lift chair without yanking your own chain is tricky). Everyone who saw the movies on my laptop at the end of the day swore that they were going to buy one for their next trip.
