very warm, watch the sizing
B-flea:
Great helmet. comfy and VERY warm with the liner in. Did it's job and protected my dome when i screwed up. I would be careful on the sizing though, i sized the helmet with the liner in and bought it. after i got home and tried it on with out the liner it was a little loose. just try it on with out the liner for a proper fit.
Nice but needs Refinements
Ben Jepson:
First off, size up. Bern sizing doesn't just run on the small side, it sprints to the small side. A Giro Medium will fit comparable to a Bern large. A few other small issues, my goggle clip had a bad habit of getting rotated and falling out, Bern actually recommended that I use a little bit of duct tape to make it more securely fastened to the helmet. It worked, but really guys? Also, the snaps that hold the knit liner in aren't very sturdy, you have to baby them or they will tear right out of the liner. One huge plus to this helmet is it actually fits inside a hood flawlessly. If it came with some removable pads of different thicknesses like other ski helmets do (Giro Encore 2)for refining the fit, I think I'd buy another.
Great Choice
Colton Burch:
Just bought this helmet last season due to a bad head injury. I've got to say, im very impressed. Most helmets are heavy and uncomfortable, but not the Bern Baker Hard Hat. Not only does it save you from unnecessary brain damage, but it looks cool too.If your short on money, buy this helmet in the skate version (doesn't come with knit liner) and wear a beanie under it. Costs around $40 for the skate version.
Stylish, Comfortable, Quality product for a good price
Bradd:
Using the matte white helmet for 3 years now (skiing and trial riding) couldnt ask more from a brain bucket. Any dirt or light scratches come of easy with a magic eraser. Still looks great after considerable use. Very comfortable as well, multi adjustable strap that stays put once adjusted.
Bern Baker Hard Hat Helmet
Nate Blouin:
This is such a sick helmet, especially considering how much it costs. with most similar quality helmets running at least $20-40 more, these things are bomber. The Brock Foam should be the new industry standard, as it's more breathable, rated for multiple impacts and is softer and more comfortable. They look good too, and if you're a steezy jibber who wants to rock a beanie under your dome piece, just snap out the dope knit liner. Definitely a great, great helmet usable for multiple sports and pursuits.
