Carb BOOM! gels usually work for me when it comes to fast energy, or fast pace rides. My favorite is Carb BOOM!. Carb BOOM! gel is great for people who can't handle large amounts of sugar at one time, especially while trying to ride hard in hotter weather. Carb-Boom is not overly sweet, and goes down smoothly. I haven't had the same cramps I get from the Honey Stingers, Gu and Power Bar while using this product. Carb-Boom Kiwi Strawberry and Banana Peach is very yummy. Carbbooms definitely get the job done - filled with energy and helped propel me to a 3:19 marathon. However, I like the tasete better of say a hammer gel or a gu during the last few miles of a race. Rather than that, carbooms are great.
