Black Diamond Ascension Nylon Clipfix Skins description For years, the Black Diamond Ascension Nylon ClipFix Skins have been the yardstick by which all other skins are measured. Now they have a reversible double-bar tip loop system so they will fit on an even wider variety of tips. The tried-and-true ClipFix tail attachment remains the fastest and most secure available. BD Ascension also gave their skins a glue-free strip down the center to make removing them at the top of a couloir much easier, so you can stop messing with gear and start skiing. |

I've been using the elastic tip style skin for three years now. This winter I changed to the ClipFix and I'm really disappointed. Theres no problem cutting and setting up , but they don't like to work with double tip skis and are difficult to adjust. They kept taking turns releasing on the backs , again no problems the glue sticks fine. Still I'll be purchasing new ones next year and they will not be the clipfix, don't be tricked.

Just returned from Mount Assiniboine (BC) very cold weather. I found the ClipFix Skins easy to trim (width-wise) and apply, and the directions basic. 4+. Ciao.
