green river....

This tent will impress you with its size, thats for sure. You can easily fit 6 people in this thing, and it will work great for family camping. A few thing you do need to be aware of are: It is impossible to set up by yourself. The stitching is really weak and can tear easily. (especially the front flaps for the vestibule poles). This tent is weak in the wind and just bends right over. Not a bad tent, but could have used a few improvements in its design.

Arriving at the campground in darkness after a traffic jam, I was forced to set up the tent for the first time with my wife and a flashlight. (by the way, this was the green river 4, not 6). I have been camping and setting up all kinds of tents for 40 years, and this was a royal pain. The instructions were vague with bad exhibits, and would be brutal to set up alone. The vestibule pole and overall unwieldiness of the fiberglass poles in general is my main gripe.... The tent was nice and roomy once set up...easy to get in and out of. the vestibule covers that go over the mesh windows flap in the wind and don't draw tight, also the vestibule door is tough to zip down all the way without feeling you are going to rip the fly material. But my main reason for sending the tent back...is the fiberglass poles come apart while you are pulling them out of the sleeves..especially the vestibule sleeve, where bunching up made me insane and took 20 minutes to do something that should take 30 seconds. My bad for cheaping out on fiberglass poles, but Kelty should do better than this.
Great tent.

This tent was a great purchase. It is really roomy the vestibule - which is the reason I bought the tent its very cool. It was tough to put up and nearly impossible to setup alone, however, most tents this size require at least 2 people so that shouldn't be a negative.

This thing is the size of a living room! It is not lacking in size. You would be very talented to be able to set this up alone, so 2 people minimum, but heck if you need that big of a tent, you should not be lacking an extra had to help out. It is not a winter tent. It is not super warm in REALLY cold conditions. So if you are taking it out when it is colder, have a good insulated sleeping pad and a good sleeping bag, but for summer camping with the family this would be great, it has a awesome screen room in the front to store your gear so it does not clog up the sleeping area.

Took this with the family, and it was truly massive. Also very envied by the school group. Two-person set up, but straight forward. Love the bug vestibule.
