The Travel Hammock Skeeter-Beeter Travel Hammock description Are you tired of being eaten alive by mosquitoes in camp? Get a comfortable, bug-free sleep in the Skeeter-Beeter Travel Hammock. This easy-to set up hammock includes a zip-close mosquito net to keep the nasty little critters from sucking on you as you try to catch some shuteye. The Skeeter-Beeter Travel Hammock makes a great choice for camping in thick wooded areas where the bugs are horrendous and flat tent sites are rare. This nylon blend hammock packs easily into its built-in stuff sack to get you back on the trail before the bugs can attack in the morning. |
Happy Hammock

Using this hammock I was well protected from the bugs and such of Central America. The mosquito net is super fine and even sandflies left me alone. Everything you need to hang the hammock is included, it's extremely light, and the stuff sack works great. I even passed it on to a fellow traveller! The mosquito net requires two strings to hang, (added set up time), but I consolidated to one. Also, I would recommend sewing a patch onto the end of the zipper. When open the net is the only attachement to either side of the zipper and can easily tear.
I was dissapointed

I found the hammock to be comfortable, lightweight, and easy to set up. I found the mosquito net to be one of the finest I have ever seen. However, I found the travel hammock to be very fragile. It is very easy to rip, especially the mosquito net. I also found that if you sleep in it without any blankets under you, the mosquitos can still bit through the bottom layer. It is a good hammock, but treat it gently.
