With a 13-meter range and a 150-hour battery life, the Petzl Tikkina Headlamp is perfect for a beginning backpacker. This two LED light is very useful for setting up your tent in the dark or working under the kitchen sink. A tiltable head on the Tikkina allows you to direct the light where you need it the most.

I actually use this for running and have found it to work really well! It stays on my head - no fears of it coming off. It gives just enough light for me to see ahead and I love the fact that the lamp is adjustable - you can point it up or down.

This is a great little light! I've used it while backpacking & camping, working on my car, hooking up audio/visual connectors behind my equipment, and rummaging around in my attic. It's the perfect size for most tasks. While it may not have enough wattage for nighttime hiking, it puts out a very clear, bright white light for camp chores & setting up your tent in the dark. It's very comfortable, it's light, it's cheap, and the batteries last for many hours. Great stocking stuffer!

I love the headlamp. I use it to read at night when my husband goes to sleep. It's nice because I don't have to hold anything in/on the book I'm reading. He gets a kick out of it and is really wanting one of his own to use when he goes fishing at 4 AM so that his hands will be free to tie fishing lures, fishing line, etc. I plan to order one for him too! I think they make great gifts for avid bed readers or outdoor people.
