Yakima LoadWarrior description

The Yakima LoadWarrior System isn't just a basket, it's an ultra-capacity, multi-use beast!

Good way to haul a lot of gear
tdesanto:

This is a great way to stow a lot of gear on top of your SUV. I use it with the extension as well, making it over 5' long. If I had to do it over again, I might have chosen the MegaWarrior since it's a bit wider, but on top of my Montero it only looks a little skinny. It holds a lot and is very solid. I'm very pleased with it. I recommend getting the additional locks for this if you think it might get stolen--one downside of their making it easy to install and remove.

LoadWarrior is Great!!
maccve2215779:

I recently bought a Yakima Loadwarrior from this site because they had a great sale on the item. It was shipped and received fast. I installed on my 2007 Pathfinder and have used it extensively. 16' Trim boards for my basement remodel, shower door from home depot while I had a car load of people, and numerous trips with the canoe strapped to it have made it worth the money. I know I will have lots of uses in the future. The only problem I have encountered is the screws stick up into the cargo area...I will probably take a hacksaw to them sometime if it becomes a persistent problem. This may not be an issue on all vehicles, though.

Yakima LoadWarrior
Michele M:

This was a great purchase. I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport and the spare tire was mounted under the rear bumper. Now it's in my Yakima Load Warrior on my roof. It looks better and stays clean in the event of a flat tire plus there is room for extra gear and Yakima sells an extension if I need even more cargo room. The only other thing I need now is a tire step to make it easier to get the tire down and access the roof rack but other that that this was great!

Gotta love it
Gregory Weiss:

Yakima is the best for Xterra! I just got a brand new 05 Xterra off road and put the loadwarrior + extension on it and it gives an awesome step off look from the front with the Xterra roof rack and the Yakima wind deflector. A must buy for Xterra owners!

YAKIMA LOADWARRIOR
Dave Sheridan:

I replaced a new Thule cargo rack with a Yakima LoadWarrior! The Yakima had a cleaner mounting system, with great accessories (HiLift & Shovel mounts). The Yakima had a much better fit and assembly than the Thule. But Yakima mounting hardware left a lot to be desired. The handscrews are difficult to tighten, and have loosened with age. The bolt ends protrude up into the cargo space, which could scratch or rip the cargo. Both Yakima and Thule have lost their level of quality control and good design over the years. But Yakima is still my choice.
