Yakima Swingdaddy 4 Bike Rack description Even when it's loaded with bikes, the Yakima Swingdaddy 4 Bike Rack moves out of the way to allow access to the back of your car or SUV. Unlike other hitch racks that have to be unloaded and folded down to let you open the back of your rig, the Swingdaddy Bike Rack folds to the side much like a spare-tire rack. Thanks to this Yakima rack, you don't have to unload all of your bikes at a gas station when you realize two-hours into your trip that you left your iPod in the pack that's under everything else. |

I decided on the swingdaddy over the others because of its larger size and features. It was super easy to install and use. The rack does not sway on the road and moves out of the way when you need to get in the truck for your gear. I LOVE this rack and do recommend it to all the world. If you can get your hands one one of these baby's

Great idea for getting the bikes out of the way, but not great for carrying unusual frames. If they made a Hold Up rack that swung out, that's the rack I'd get. Figure out how you're going to keep the tires from rotating on long trips (scrunchies on brake levers). Should come with a bag of bungies so you can keep the oversized frame tubes from walking out of the holders. Needed to remove the straps from the rack in order to get the inside bike on and off. Much more time consuming effort than the Hold Up. Worked well once I overcame these issues.

The rack is great exactly what I wanted. The only issue I have had is the chain straps somehow stained my Pearl paint on our road bikes. Maybe use a rag or towel in between if you have expensive paint! Otherwise it is awesome!!!!
