Laken Hit Bottle - 0.6L description

You've heard about BPA, and you're thinking an aluminum water bottle would be a mighty fine idea. But you want one that'll fit in your bike cage and that'll be easy to drink out of. Grab the Laken 0.6L Hit Bottle. The wide mouth means you don't have to take a chisel to your ice cubes or use a funnel to get sport-drink powder in your Hit Bottle, and the bike cap makes hydrating simple and fast. This Laken bottles cylindrical shape fits in most bike cages.

Good For People Smarter Than Me!

OK. FIrst, I thought these were lovely to look at right out of the box. In the short time mine were unexploded, they did not leak. I did find the drinking cap a little awkward - because the bottle cannot flex, air must be let in during a sip (or you'd create a vacuum and end up with your lips stuck in the cap). I was not fond of the sensation..a little like showering under a low-flo showerhead. Another issue with the non-flex factor? When my wife asked if she could put them in the freezer for a few minutes to cool the water, I absent mindedly said, "Sure, honey" - I mean, I was so proud of this fabulous new purchase. When I came home that night, I was reminded of a physics lesson: water expands when frozen. These babies split right down the side. So, perhaps not the best bottle for a moron (and, frankly, they should have put a reminder ON the bottle or in the box).

Excellent without the BPA

This is a great water bottle. It's a good size to keep with you at all times, I keep it with me in the classroom while teaching. I like that this one has the water bottle top instead of the screw on. Exactly what I thought I was getting!
