The North Face used an ultralight 70D PU fabric to make this bag for a scant 12oz, and they included a removable shoulder strap to help you carry it when you fill this thing to the gills.

I have ordered two of these bags now because they are so great. They are amazingly thin, soft, light and can be crammed with lots of gear. They fold up into a cargo pocket sized pouch. So far the bag has been able to take whatever I throw at it. Take one folded up in your big bag just in case you need another bag to bring all your souvenirs in if you ever go traveling. Definately an amazing bag that should have never taken this long to be available for purchase.
