Evolv Maximus Approach Shoe - Men's description

El Cap, Baffin Island, Trangowherever you go, you can be sure that the Evolv Men's Maximus Approach Shoe will meet the challenges of your next big wall climb.

Bottom Line: For the biggest walls in the world.

great boot for aid..
Pat Goodman:

So comfy in aiders! If you sz them tight (I wear a 10 (mens) street shoe and found the sz10 to fit perfectly snug w/ socks) they work really well for hard fat cracks. I would not take these shoes into the mountains, your feet would freeze if they got wet, but I suppose they would climb better than Five Tens Guide Tennie. Probly the best shoe out for doing speed ascents in the Valley and such!

Nice shoes but they need some work
dgmanon565647:

I love the super sticky Trax rubber and the leather shell and rubber heel is comfortable with a tongue that is very breathable so your foot doesn't get all sweaty. They work great in the climbing gym and fit better than my normal climbing shoes. But they are more like Climbing shoes than Hiking boots. The toe box is too tight for extended hikes and they have no arch support or padding in them just like climbing shoes so no heavy packs. I believe I will return them for a larger size and try to beef up the arch support or find a hiking boot with a soft sole. I have a 10.5 Maximus and where a 10.5 evolv climbing shoe and an 11 backpacking boot. US sizes

big wall OW master
Evan Stevens:

Perfect shoe for big walling and offwidths. Stand in aiders well, bust free moves with ease, and will protect your ankles on the OWs. I used these on the Salathe, they were awesome

not so leather uppers
butlerbrad2180682:

'never did more than take these out of the box, try them on and send them back. They are sized like climbing shoes, i.e. too tight for me and despite the fact that most of the upper is leather, the tongue is not, which makes them seem cheap.
