Evolv Elektra Climbing Shoe - Women's description

The Evolv Elektra Women's Climbing Shoes take all the features of the popular Defy shoes and integrate them into a woman's last for a precise fit without any slop.

Bottom Line: Evolv gave the Elektra Climbing Shoes incredible performance features and a shape that actually fits your foot.

great shoe
http://gear-review.blogspot.com:

I have demoed these shoes out and I am so impressed with them. The only thing on them is the sizing is a bit funky. I normally wear a size 71/2-8 in shoes and this shoe I fit in a 7, could even go 6 1/2. They are not leather so they do not stretch out like a leather shoe does. They are very supportive in the toe box. I can stand ballerina style on these shoes and they are as supportive as my ballet toe shoes. These would be great for boulder and sport climbing. anything long and you need more support look at the Evolv HERA

Great shoe
rcrusek:

I am a beginner climber, and I really like this shoe. It is solid and has worked really well to help me improve on more technical moves. I read other reviews warning on bad sizing, and I got a smaller size accordingly. The shoe fits well, although it is a little on the tight side for my wide feet.

Not bad for a slipper...
susansplace.org:

They're fairly decent as far as comfort and fit for this type of slipper. They are better for footwork than my Mythos (still my favorite for trad climbing). At first it was very annoying to find they get VERY smelly VERY quickly. Then I discovered I can wash them in Woolite in the sink (after spraying with Lysol) and they are as good as new. They're inexpensive enough that rather than have them resoled, I just buy a new pair every few months.

Vegan Climbers
Matthew A. Toebbe:

We got a pair of these for my wife so we could start climbing outside. (no more stinky gym rentals) They are perfect. Her normal shoe size is between 8 to 8.5, and we bought these in size 7.5. They fit tight enough that she takes them off after each climb, but they are still comfortable while climbing. The velcro closures are way better than laces. They smear great, and edge awesome. The rubber is soft and sticky, but not so soft that sloppy footwork removes lots of material. They are perfect for beginners, seasoned climbers, or Vegan climbers of any experience level. I use the larger volume Defy from Evolv, and if we ever wear these out, we will get more of the same again. We love them.

Comfortable, precise, affordable...
pie:

these are great shoes for a beginner or intermediate climber. i have been bouldering about a year and love these. i purchased my street shoe size (8.5), and it's just right (don't size down in these since they have a synthetic lining and won't stretch). these are really comfortable, and you will be tempted to keep them on for hours at a time. don't do that, however, because the synthetic liner will make your feet sweaty and stinky. if this happens, you can wash them out with a gentle detergent and warm water. take an old toothbrush and scrub the inside. then, put dr. scholl's foot powder in them after they dry. they'll be a lot better. i highly recommend these shoes--and the price can't be beaten.
