Performs well at everything
Garrett Grove:
I use these when I have a route that has a bit of everything in it. Glacier slog, steep chutes and even a few good icy pitches. They hold there own very very well and are a great do it all crampon.
Solid Function
smokehound141:
This is the second pair of these crampons I have owned, gave the first pair to a guide on Aconcagua, and I love them. They work great on any boot I have fitted them to and offer easy adjustments for quick refits. The front toe design allows for use on double plastic as well as traditional mountaineering boots without the fear of your crampon working its way off from moderate angle walking or front point use. Worth the money!!
great crampon
Peter Sanford:
These are really good all-purpose mountaineering crampons. work well with mountaineering boots, hiking boots and ski boots. I would suggest getting the anti balling plates, which make a huge difference in how much snow gets crammed up inside them. great for steep snow, dry glacier, and light ice climbing
great all around crampons
anth:
overall, a super solid crampon. toe strap allows pretty much any boot to lock in tightly. Frontpoints work great in ice and wide design is super stable on steep snow too. So far, ABS plates have worked perfectly. The powder coat comes off quick like any crampon but just keep the rust off, sharpen, and you're good to go!
Best All Around Crampon
Jess McMillan:
I love this crampon. If you are going to own one pair of crampons as opposed to a quiver, this is the one to have. It is the best all around crampon on the marker. It is easy to use, durable, and relatively light. It also works with multiple types of boots; alpine, plastic, and soft boots. I'll say it again: if you are going to own just one crampon, buy this one.
