These socks are nice, the material and the fit of the foot were great. I wear an 8.5 mens shoe and the s/m fit my foot well. Where they lacked was the fact that they went above my knee when I put them on. Over the calf indeed. Good thing there is a great return policy, as I am not one to roll my socks down, or have them above my knee while skiing.
