Ahnu constructed the Tamalpais II Shoe with a hydrophobic mesh upper to keep your foot cool during summer's scorching heat, and it dries quickly if you get it wet.

I live in the city and haven't tested these shoes on the trail yet... They have been great for day trips to the petting zoo and outdoor sporting events. No discomfort with all day wear. They did take a couple of days to break in and feel their best on your feet.

pros: really lightweight, fit true to size, cute colors, comfycons: buckle is tricky to get the hang of; it takes some doing to get the right fit with the side and top lacing working together. Also, when they say mesh upper, they mean it -- I could see my toenail polish through the tops of the shoes; a little worried about the mesh tearing out on the trail. We'll have to wait and see.

great looking shoe. lightweight and true to size. Have worn it multiple times and it has been comfortable on all my trips. Minimal break-in period. The buckle is a little strange at first, but you get used to it quickly.
