Outdoor Research Verglas Gaiter - Women's description

Safety in the mountains involves moving quickly over varied and difficult terrain. Outdoor Research designed the Women's Verglas Gaiters to carry light and travel fast.

Bottom Line: Charge into the wild with dry, happy feet.

Gaiters, or not.
etorrey2039333:

These gaiters were adequate, but would have faired better if the sole strap material were of the same durable quality as the upper. For the price, one could probably not do much better, but to be honest, the chincy sole straps are not expected to last under moderate use. Tight for big calved wearers. Not recommended.

Verglas Gaiter
Simon0402:

These gaiters are great! Easy to get on, lightweight, keep the snow out, and they look great. Great choice.

Muddy
Pakegurl:

These gaiters were a life saver on a climb up Kilimanjaro. Kept me dry and as clean as can be expected trudging through the mud. Great buy!

This gaiter has bite!
BikeChick:

Easy to put on, easy to adjust, and good-looking, too, these gaiters are the perfect upgrade to the baggy velcro balloons I used over the past 15 years. Fitted to my foot and leg in several places, the gaiters fit divinely and protect throughout the worst kind of wet snow. I had no seepage whatsoever after a 2 hour ski through a heavy snow (though perhaps if I'd stood there for an hour...) The gaiters hold in a reasonable amount of warmth and also block out the wind. Once again - great product, OR.

Seem to Run a Little Big
GearSlut:

According to the size chart, I should take a medium (I wear an 8 shoe), but it was WAY too big. I had to return the medium and get a small. The small fits great on my bare legs, hiking pants, and insulated snow pants. I think I have an average size calf. I like that the instep strap has a buckle (rather than a string you tie) so it's easy to adjust them to use with different shoes. I've only used these a few times so far, but am happy with them and would buy them again.
