I've had this jacket for over a year now the waterproofing keeps you dry - even while commuting to work in the snow and rain of Boston, but not if it rips! The chest pocket ripped on mine, and then the seam under the arm, and then the seam that holds the zipper. The rips were due to normal wear and tear, they came undone while backpacking and climbing - just movement, no abrasions. Duck tape fixed everything, but I'm looking for something more sturdy next time...

Love to wear this jacket on those grey days with rain. Also good to have in the backpack in the mountains when the wind gets colder.....
