The Julbo Micropore Sunglasses' Alti Arc X8 lenses provide an incredible 95% visible light reduction to protection the eyes of mountaineers attempting the world's highest mountains. Leather side shields increase coverage, so no light sneaks in around the lenses to harm your eyes. Julbo made the Micropore glacier glasses with an all-steel frame for durability and moldable arm bands to provide a precise fit.

This is the second pair of Julbo glacier glasses that I've bought. I could not be more pleased. They fit snug. The style is very nice, and the lenses are real glass. The side shields are easy to remove and the look with shields off is way cool. Though this was my second choice in a brand product, it was the best bang for my dollar.

Although they "look" really cool, the arms are incredibly flimsy. They bend a wee bit too easily for the $119 price tag. They bend when trying to put them back in their original case. And they slide down just enough for the sun to come through when doing something as simple as pushing a self-powered lawnmower. So the light leak, while my eyes are completely dilated, can become an issue. Unless you are committed to wearing a hat to make up for the top leak, you might consider something different. The lenses are fantastic.
