North Campground (107 sites) and Sunset Campground (111 sites) are attractively set among tall pines along the park's main scenic drive. Both have flush toilets and cold running water and are available on a first-come first serve basis only for $10 a night. They generally fill up nightly from May to September so arrive early for a chance at a spot. Both are near a general store that has shower and laundry facilities. A sanitary dump station adjacent to the North Campground is usable by RV's from either campground, though it is inoperable in winter. North Campground has a heated bathroom and is open all year.

Camping is also available to backpackers at eleven designated sites along the Under-the-Rim Trail and Riggs Spring Trail. Each site is simply a cleared area for tents. Parties of six or fewer may camp at any of the sites; parties of 7 to 10 may camp only at the Yellow River and Riggs Spring sites. Permits are required and may be obtained for $5 at the visitor center (no later than 2 hours before sunset).
