This great hike climbs steeply through fir, spruce and aspen to a beautiful alpine lake beneath cirque cliffs. The trail climbs to 800' to the midpoint, then descends 800' to the lake, so you'll have a climb both coming and going. The trailhead is at Tony Grove Lake. |

This trail starts easily through maple and aspen before switchbacking steeply up to the range's ridge (8,120'). The trail follows the ridge south 1.6 miles to Stewart Pass (8,375') and meets Maple Bench Trail. The trailhead is at the western end of 300 North in the town of Mendon. |

The trail passes small Coldwater Lake before climbing steeply up switchbacks to Stewart Pass. The trail turns south and follows the narrow ridge 1.5 miles to Wellsville Cone (9,350'). You can keep going another .4 miles to Box Elder Peak (9,375'), the highest point in the range. |
